Thankfully I came across Katie’s page while browsing for a photographer to capture family photos while we were on vacation! I am so very pleased to say, she did not disappoint! Katie brought her nephew along and they both were a pure delight. Right from the very first photo she made all of us feel so comfortable and at ease. If your family is like mine and posed photos can be awkward, no worries with Katie! Our photos are so natural and in the moment, which is exactly what I asked for! She took time to talk to us and get to know a little about each of us and our relationships as she snapped candid shoots! Her warm smile and calming voice just helped to keep the mood light and fun. Full disclosure: I've known the family that Katie married into for over two decades, specifically her mother-in-law. That, however, doesn't imbue anyone with talent for taking breathtaking photos. I feel so incredibly blessed for having a connection that introduced me to someone with such a gift for working with individuals, or family groups, to capture the moments of their lives.

The first photos Katie took were of my then-13-year old daughter. We spent just enough time that we got every single shot we could possibly want, but not long enough that it seemed to drag on. It was a blur of fun and laughter and beautiful scenery. The end result were photos that we will treasure forever.

Then this year, we did family photos with my husband, myself and our four children. Katie puts everyone at ease. She has a flair for posing...it's truly art! Her ability to see the background, the subjects (one or many), the frame.

There simply aren't enough superlatives. I have never been happier with photos. They are a treasure. As is Katie.
